President's Message January-February, 2010 Excitement at the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA!Providing Members with Continual Growth and Development Opportunities  There are a couple of exciting happenings that are coming early in 2010. The first is that I am happy to announce that the Chapter Board of Directors has approved an agreement with PACE Companies to monitor and research legislation within the State of Pennsylvania that could have the potential to impact the built environment. The Association has recognized the need for monitoring and researching such legislation on a federal level, and thus has established a Government Relations liaison. We are one of the first, if not the first, chapter to enter into such an agreement on a state level and we are hopeful that this type of early awareness will prove beneficial to our membership.
The second is that IFMA Facility Fusion is coming to Philadelphia from April 13-15, 2010. Just as the name implies, this conference will pull together many aspects of facility management.
