President's Report -- June, 2008 Welcome to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA!
This is the last article I will have the honor of authoring as your Chapter President for the 2007 – 2008 Program Year. I exit this role after serving four wonderful years on the board and looking forward to remaining on the board as Past President. Special thanks to our Chapter’s Board: By the time you read this issue of InSite, elections will have been completed for our new Board of Director candidates. The slate will be led by Kristin Liezenga, who will be the President of our Chapter; Dale Wenger, Vice President; and Andy Hunsicker, continuing his second year as Treasurer. These individuals, along with our dedicated peers noted in the left sidebar, round out the outstanding Board of Directors team. I have enjoyed working with them and valued their support and feedback in our efforts to make this Chapter the best it can be for the Members. Marc Liciardello, after five very successful years, will be completing his role on the Board of Directors. It has been an honor working with you, Marc, and your mentorship and leadership have been invaluable. Special thanks to our Chapter’s Volunteers: The Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA clearly recognizes that the long-term sustainability of our chapter lies squarely on the shoulders of our volunteers. With over 50 dedicated and engaged volunteers from a diverse mix of professional and associate backgrounds, we, as the board, believe our volunteers are the cornerstone of the Chapter’s success. Special thanks to our Chapter’s Membership for whom the Chapter provides services, products, resources, and opportunities for. Hopefully we exceeded your expectations. This year the Board of Directors took the opportunity to improve our communication efforts to the Membership. Throughout the year, we looked at this process in four steps: Place our Clients first, the membership of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA
Understand our clients’ needs, enhance formal and informal Voice of Membership collection and analysis as a continual process and not just once a year
Communicate with the clients what we -- the Board, Committees, and Volunteers -- do for the membership and to promote IFMA
Listen to our clients and advertise our responses and adjustments in service excellence to validate the clients' needs and requests
Let us know how we did on our communication efforts, send responses via. email to
