Why you should become an IFMA Member
Welcome to the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA. We hope you are interested in joining our growing membership, our chapter has over 330 members in the tri-state region with facility professionals that represent dozens of major companies within our region. IFMA is considered the premier organization for education and information for facilities professionals. The association has over 17,000 members internationally, for information on the International Association please check out ifma.org. When you decide to become a member, you will notice on the application that there are two main options:
1. Pay the basic fee to become a member of the International IFMA organization 2. Pay an additional fee to become a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter
We feel strongly that there are significant benefits in becoming a member of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter, and here’s what they are:
- Networking
Chapter meetings and events provide an avenue to meet and share information with other facility managers. It’s a great way to share ideas, sources, and best practices or make contacts for the future. You can also connect with local professional product and service providers who can help with your business needs.
- Education
Facility tours, educational programs, CFM prep courses, round table discussions, an interactive website, informative articles and publications are all available to Chapter members.
- Communications
As a Chapter member you will receive six issues of our award-winning InSite newsletter, a Chapter directory, and program announcements for our events. You will have access to our website that provides networking and additional information and resources.
- Reduced fees
Chapter members receive substantially reduced fees for monthly meetings and discounts to other programs and reduced advertising costs in our newsletter.
- Community support
Through our annual Golf Outing and holiday gala and fund raiser, the Chapter has supported charities and created scholarships for students in the Philadelphia region.
- Leadership
The Chapter provides opportunities for members to develop their leadership skills as well as contribute in such areas as program planning, member recruitment, fundraising, newsletter writing and more. |
