Excitement at the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA!Providing Members with Continual Growth and Development Opportunities
The facility management professional will be able to chose from educational tracks focusing on sustainability, leading and managing, and best practices in facility management. I had the opportunity to attend a similar event in Houston several years ago, and I continue to use some of the best practices that were presented at that conference. Our chapter leadership worked closely with the Association's headquarters to plan and organize the facility tours, and we provided input into some of the Conference Educational Programming. There are a couple of exciting happenings that are coming early in 2010. The first is that I am happy to announce that the Chapter Board of Directors has approved an agreement with PACE Companies to monitor and research legislation within the State of Pennsylvania that could have the potential to impact the built environment. The Association has recognized the need for monitoring and researching such legislation on a federal level, and thus has established a Government Relations liaison. We are one of the first, if not the first, chapter to enter into such an agreement on a state level and we are hopeful that this type of early awareness will prove beneficial to our membership.| Next > |
