The Philadelphia Chapter of IFMA

Attending the IFMA Holiday Charity Event on Thursday evening, December 1, held high atop the 43^rd Floor of the Comcast Center was a great way to kick off the holiday season! Panoramic views, tasty bites, and fine libations captured the spirit of giving as IFMA hosted the Toys for Tots event sponsored by the U.S. Marine Corps. Boxes and boxes of toys were donated by attendees in support of the underprivileged children of Philadelphia and U.S. Marine Sergeant Evan McDonough was on site to collect them.

Tony Keane, President and CEO of IMFA International attended as well and spoke about the Philadelphia Chapter’s exciting opportunity to share our fair city as Philadelphia was chosen to host World Work Place 2013. After much mingling and good company, the evening closed with the viewing of the Comcast Holiday Spectacular featuring the Pennsylvania Ballet and other local holiday scenes shown in the Grand Lobby of the Comcast Center. You may have missed the party but the show can still be seen daily on the hour from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

President of the GPC of IFMA Scott Shelley said, “The event was a good one and I think it showed just how strong our Chapter is as the Marines did not bring enough boxes for the [toys donated] to the Toys for Tots Drive... and, yes, the boxes they brought were overflowing.”
